Week 2
In this unit we will seek to understand the history of pre-Columbian and early colonial America through an environmental lens. Our learning objectives include:
- Identifying elements of Native conceptions of the natural world
- Understanding select indigenous people’s use and relationship to the natural world
- Contrasting with European colonists’ views and practices
- Identifying the role of non-human agents in European colonization and conquest
